I care about your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what information I collect when you visit dinabergen.com or join my email list, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Who I am

This website is run by Dina Bergen ("I", "me"). If you have any question about your information, email me at hello@dinabergen.com.

What information I collect

• Your email address, when you sign up for my free Habit Tracker or my email list.
• Email activity, such as whether you open my emails or click a link in them. My email provider records this automatically, and it helps me understand which content is useful.
• Basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is collected by my website host for security and to keep the site running smoothly.
• Anything you send me, if you reply to an email or write to hello@dinabergen.com.

I do not collect payment details, and I never ask for sensitive personal information.

How I use your information

• To send you the free Habit Tracker you asked for.
• To send you my weekly email with productivity tips, and occasionally news about my content, resources or products.
• To reply to your messages.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.

I will never sell, rent or trade your email address.

Legal basis

If you are in the UK or European Union: I send you emails because you gave your consent when you signed up and confirmed your email address. I process basic technical information because I have a legitimate interest in keeping this website secure and working.

Services I use

I use a few trusted companies to run this website and my emails. They only process your information to provide their service to me:

• Kit (kit.com) stores my email list and sends my emails.
• Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) hosts this website, protects it from attacks, provides privacy-friendly visitor statistics, and forwards emails sent to hello@dinabergen.com.
• Google (Gmail) is where I read and reply to emails sent to me.

These companies may store information on servers outside your country, including in the United States. They use recognised safeguards to protect it.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and I do not use Google Analytics. My host, Cloudflare, may set a small, strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from bots and abuse.

To understand how many people visit and which pages are useful, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and only shows me overall numbers, such as page views, the country you visit from, the type of device, and the website that sent you here (for example, Instagram or YouTube).

My emails may contain a tiny tracking image and tracked links, used to measure opens and clicks.

How long I keep your information

I keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe, you stop receiving my emails straight away, and you can ask me to delete your details completely at any time.

Your rights and choices

• Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask for a copy of the information I hold about you.
• Ask me to correct or delete your information.
• Object to how I use your information, or withdraw your consent.

To do any of these, email hello@dinabergen.com and I will reply as soon as I can, and within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Children

This website and my email list are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Keeping your information safe

This website uses a secure HTTPS connection, and I only use reputable providers with strong security. No method of storing information online is ever 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect yours.

Changes to this policy

I may update this page from time to time. When I do, I will change the "Last updated" date at the top.
